NEET UG 2023 Results Declared: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the results of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023. Those who appeared for the medical entrance exam can now check their results at the official website — neet.nta.nic.in.
This time, a total of 11,45,976 students have cleared the NEET UG 2023 exam out of 20.38 lakh, which is an increase from last year’s 9.93 lakh candidates. The top spot has been jointly shared by Prabanjan J and Bora Varun Chakravarthi who scored 720 marks. Kaustav Bauri has achieved the third rank and Pranjal Aggarwal has earned the fourth spot with 716 and 715 marks respectively.
A total of 50 students have featured in the list of top 50 students. Among the top 50 candidates, at least 8 are from Delhi (NCT), 7 from Rajasthan, 6 from Tamil Nadu, 5 from Andhra Pradesh, 4 from Uttar Pradesh, 3 from Gujarat, 3 from West Bengal and Maharashtra each, 2 from Punjab, Karnataka, Bihar, Odisha each, and 1 from Kerala. Uttar Pradesh has recorded the highest number of qualifying candidates (1.39 lakh) followed by Maharashtra (1.31 lakh) and Rajasthan (over 1 lakh).
This time, the cut-offs have increased in comparison to 2022. In the case of general candidates from 138 in 2021, 117 in 2022 and 137 in 2023, and from 108 in 2021, 93 in 2022 to 107 in 2023 in the case SC, ST and OBC candidates. In 2020, the cut-offs were even higher at 147 for general candidates and 113 for reserved categories.
A total of 10 female candidates have secured a spot in the top 50 list. Pranjal Aggarwal (AIR 4) has emerged as the girl topper with a score of 715, followed by Ashika Aggarwal who scored 715 too (AIR 11), and Arya R S at the third rank with a score of 711 (AIR 23).
