Deepika Padukone never misses a chance to impress us with her sartorial choices and the style icon adorns the most beautiful traditional Indian ensembles. As such, she stepped out in her ‘desi’ best to attend Karan Deol and Drisha Acharya’s wedding reception in Mumbai.

The Pathaan actor shared pictures of her gorgeous black ethnic outfit on Instagram. It highlighted her stunning aesthetic and flawless makeup. Radiating sheer elegance, the photos swiftly went viral on social media, amassing more than 800k likes with several of her followers showering praises and compliments. Deepika’s ethnic ensemble included a black and gold traditional kurta by designer Anamika Khanna. It featured a gota and zardozi embroidered ghera kurta paired with a dupatta and churidar. Crafted with chanderi fabric, the intricate golden embroidery enhanced the black canvas. The embellished yoke, cuffs and ghera of this front open kurta are also adorned with gota and zardozi embroidery. It is the perfect outfit for wedding season.

Styled by Shaleena Nathani and assisted by Anjali Chauhan, Deepika looked regal as ever in the outfit. As for accessories, Deepika went for a pair of emerald drop earrings from Mahesh Notandass. She opted for glam makeup done by makeup artist Kritika Gill, which included dramatic smokey eyes, brown eye shadow, a nude lip, contoured cheeks and highlighter. Meanwhile, her hair was styled in a sleek fashion with a middle partition by hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou.
