Even in the promo of the first single from Leo, “Naa Ready”, the director has managed to take everyone on a trip down memory lane to Vijay‘s formative years as a singer. “Indha paadalai paadiyavar ungal Vijay (This song is sung by your Vijay)” is a popular line that appears on the screen of the songs that were sung by Vijay back in the day. Songs like his debut single “Bombay City Sukka Roti” from the film Rasigan and “Aiyayo Alamelu” song from Deva are some examples. Now, after a long time, the line is back in the promo of “Naa Ready” as the song is sung by Vijay himself.

Lyricist Vishnu Edavan has written the song, which is sung by Vijay, Anirudh Ravichander and rapper Asal Kolaaru. That gives away that the song would also have a rap portion.
