JoSAA Counselling 2023: This year, there are a total of 17485 seats up for grabs in all 23- Indian Institute of Technology (IITs), including 1692 supernumerary seats for female candidates. A marginal increase in the number of seats from last year which was 16598 seats in total including 1567 female supernumerary seats.
Admission process for the premier technology institutes across India has begun from today. The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) registration process started after the JEE Advanced result was declared on Sunday. A total of 43773 out of 180372 candidates cleared the entrance test and are now eligible for admission to various undergraduate programmes in IITs across India. There are 7509 girls among the qualified candidates.
