Netizens spot Hanuman poster in DC film ‘The Flash’

This Friday, two big-budget films, Adipurush and The Flash, were released. While both films have widely different plots, they have one similarity: both of them feature the Hindu god Hanuman.

This weekend DC Comics fans shared pictures of a still from the American superhero film The Flash and pointed out that there is a poster of Hanuman put up in the protagonist’s room. The scene comprised Barry Allen (played by Ezra Miller) inviting Iris West (Kiersey Clemons) to his room for a drink.

A Twitter user shared a picture of the still, and wrote, “also, there was Hanuman’s poster in Flash’s room, I thought the theatre was going to transition into adipurush”. Another person joked, “If you went ahead and watched Adipurush and we’re disappointed that you didn’t get to see Lord Hanuman, well that’s cause he was watching Flash with us.”

People also expressed curiosity over why the set designer chose a Hindu god’s poster in a superhero movie that is not remotely related to Hindu mythology.
