A fire broke out at a factory in West Delhi’s Mayapuri early on Wednesday, officers said.
Delhi Fire Services Chief Atul Garg said they received a fire call from Mayapuri at around 6:32 AM, following which a total of 13 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. Garg said that so far no injuries or casualties have been reported.
The DFS Chief added that the fire was in the surgical equipment and items storage unit in the building, located near Ragalia Banquet Hall.
The area of the building was around 200 square yards with a basement, a ground floor and three upper floors, said Garg.
“Efforts are being made to douse the fire as it has spread due to presence of combustible material inside the building,” said a fire official.
