A man was arrested with live cartridges at Noida metro station on Tuesday. Officials said cartridges were detected in his bag when he was trying to enter the platform at the Depot Metro Station in Surajpur police station area.
The accused has been identified as Pratyush Kumar, a resident of Ghaziabad’s Vijaynagar and currently living in omicron sector, Greater Noida.
“Two cartridges were found on searching a person’s bag at Depot Metro Station of Noida Metro Rail Corporation. The man put his bag thriugh the scanner and stood in the queue to go through the security check. The scanner detected the cartridges in the bag and the security officials at the station nabbed him and informed the police,” said an official at Gautam Budha Nagar police station.
“The young man said during interrogation that he had kept cartridges in the bag as a hobby. But he could not give a satisfactory answer as to where he got the cartridges from. The accused was arrested and presented in the court. From there, he was sent to jail,” he added.
