Ensure registry of flats in 15 days or face action: Noida authority to builders

The decision was taken in a meeting with the builder headed by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Finance and Revenue Vandita Srivastava.

With the aim of increasing stamp registration and revenue, Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration on Saturday, June 17, stressed that the registration of 12,859 flats, which have received operation certificate/completion certificate (OC/CC) and are permitted for a sub-lease deed, should be completed within 15 days.

The officials added in case of failure of compliance by the builder of the multi-storey builder project, strict action will be taken under the provisions of Indian Stamp Act and Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016.

The decision was taken in a meeting with the builder headed by Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Finance and Revenue Vandita Srivastava.

“The registry of 3493 flats in 20 builders projects in Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), who have received OC/CC and permitted for sub-lease, is remaining. The registry should be done within 15 days. Along with this, ensure registration of total 7779 flats of Naveen Okhla Industrial Development Authority and 1587 flats of Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority within a maximum 15 days. The builders must also get the flats registered within the stipulated time period for the purpose of providing smooth registry facility to the flat buyers,” Srivastava said in the meeting.

She added that in this regard, show cause notices have been issued to 66 builders of Noida Authority, 20 builders of Greater Noida Authority and 02 builders of Yamuna Authority for non-registration of outstanding flats by the officials of the Stamp and Registration Department.

Vandita Srivastava further directed the deputy registrars to take cognizance of each and every problem of builders and allottees in relation to the registry of flats and ensure their disposal with time boundness.

In the meeting, Assistant Inspector General Registration I BS Verma and Assistant Inspector General Registration II Shyam Singh Bisen informed the builders that a camp will be organized according to the requirement for the registration of these flats in all three authorities. All deputy registrars and representatives of all the three authorities and builders were present in the meeting.
